ITV confirms return of I'm a Celebrity...South Africa

I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here (UK) has been running on ITV since 2002.

But in 2023, the broadcaster introduced a new all-stars version of the hit reality show - I'm a Celebrity...South Africa.

The special edition, which was pre-filmed in a national park in South Africa rather than the usual Australian jungle, saw former campmates like Carol Vorderman, Helen Flanagan, Georgia Toffolo, and Phil Tufnell return to take part in the show.

Singer and TV presenter Myleene Klass won the first series of I'm a Celebrity...South Africa.

ITV confirms return of I'm a Celebrity...South Africa

Now, I'm a Celebrity...South Africa is set to return in 2026, ITV has confirmed.

The show's hosts, Ant and Dec, posted a video on the I'm a Celebrity account on X (formerly Twitter), confirming the show's return and teasing what fans can expect from the new series.

Ant and Dec said: "Hi everyone. It's us with some big news.

"Yes, coming to ITV1 in 2026, it's the return of I'm a Celebrity...South Africa.

"Like all the best events, it only comes around every three years."

New series of I'm a Celebrity...South Africa to feature 2 new twists

The new series is set to be slightly different to the first, with two new twists set to be introduced for I'm a Celebrity...South Africa 2026.

Ant and Dec explained: "This time there's a twist because the finale will be coming to you live from the UK and you at home will pick the winner, who will become an I'm a Celebrity legend."

The first series, in 2023, was pre-recorded, meaning the winner was decided by trials, rather than a public vote.

The pair continued: "Everything is bigger here. The challenges are bigger and the trials are definitely bigger.

"So make sure you join us for I'm a Celebrity...South Africa. See you soon."

The official line-up for I'm a Celebrity...South Africa 2026 is yet to be revealed.
