Bobby Brazier was left stunned when he appeared on Thursday's episode of Loose Women after learning that Sir Michael Caine was rooting for him.

Speaking with ITV star Denise Welch, the 20-year-old discovered that the beloved actor had shared some kind words about him and his professional partner Dianne Buswell.

This came as the pair survived a dance-off last week against Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington during the Blackpool special.

Michael Caine shares kind words about Strictly star Bobby Brazier

Denise, who was said to have shared a dinner with the 90-year-old Italian Job star, told the EastEnders actor that Michael Caine said: "That Bobby Brazier, he reminds me of me."

When Denise asked the star to elaborate, he apparently said: "He’s so good-looking."

The Loose Women Panelist then added: "He thinks you’ve got it."

Bobby then struggled to wipe the smile off his face as the segment continued.

Recently, Bobby and Dianne hinted that their next Strictly Come Dancing routine would be an emotional tribute to the star's late mother Jade Goody who died of cancer in 2009 at the age of 27.

Bobby and his brother were just five and four years old respectively when this sadly occurred.

Speaking of the upcoming routine, he told It Takes Two host Fleur East: "It is the perfect song, sung by the perfect man and it is the perfect tone. The lyrics are just profound and touched me at my core - it is gorgeous. I am going to have to work very hard this week to do it justice."

Dianne Buswell added that the performance is "something new" for her, adding: "I have never done anything like it in my couple's choice. I am already loving it."

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday, November 25 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7:30pm.
