Fans are eagerly awaiting to see who the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers will be partnered up with.

The start of this year’s BBC series is only a matter of weeks away as the programme tends to launch every year in autumn.

Over the weekend the Strictly 2023 trailer was aired, showing professional dancers giving a dramatic performance outside and inside the Tate Britain gallery in London.

The soundtrack for the teaser was an orchestral version of 1992 Snap! hit Rhythm Is A Dancer, as the likes of Katya Jones, Graziano Di Prima and Giovanni Pernice showed off their talent.

Could Neil Jones miss out on a Strictly partner again?

Neil Jones joined the Strictly family in 2016 and has recently announced his engagement to Chyna Mills from Love Island - the pair are also expecting their first child together.

However, it’s been reported that Neil has not been given a celebrity partner on Strictly for another year.

A TV source told The Mirror: "Of course it's disappointing, but Neil feels like he's won the lottery at the moment, so he won't be sweating it too much.

"He and Chyna can't wait to welcome their new arrival, and at least his lesser role in this years' series means he will be able to be more hands-on."

In the seven years he has been on the BBC show, Neil has only had two partners including former England football star Alex Scott and EastEnders star Nina Wadia.

Angela Scanlon teases who her Strictly Come Dancing partner is

The Irish TV presenter revealed she finally knew who she would be taking to the dancefloor with on Instagram.

On Friday (September 1), the 39-year-old told her 287k followers: “This is the face of a woman who found out her Strictly dance partner. It's a man. I know, and he's really good at dancing!"

Alongside the thrilling video, Angela wrote: “I now know who my #Strictly partner is. I didn’t realise how hideously anxious I was waiting, the control freak within losing her sweet little mind.

“Anyway, I’ve been put out of my misery & I am b****y delighted, we haven’t started training yet but I already feel a bit calmer which I’m sure is deluded but I’m leaving in for now… Hit me your guess?!!”

The BBC says that it will announce the exact date of the launch show in due course.
