Legendary cooking duo the Hairy Bikers made a return to our TV screens this morning for the first time since Dave Myers revealed his cancer diagnosis in May 2022.

Myers first spoke about his diagnosis on an episode of his podcast ‘The Hairy Bikers: Agony Uncles… A Right Pair of Aunts with TV partner Simon King.

Since then, the 65-year-old has been undergoing treatment including chemotherapy.

However, the duo appeared on This Morning alongside hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield who were pleased to see Dave’s arrival back in the studio with TV partner Simon King.

Together, they cooked a serving of some lamb koftas with a wholemeal couscous salad and lemon and tahini dressing.

According to the Daily Mail, Dave gave an update on his health to the ITV viewers, saying: ''I'm doing very well and it's so nice to be back.

“Yeah it's work in progress but I've got my hair back and I'm feeling great. It's the healthy eating you see that does it! No, I'm doing really well.

Simon also joked: “He's just as irritating so it's great!" as he gave Dave a kiss on the cheek.

Holly and Phillip said Dave was “looking really well” and fans of the Hairy Bikers have also taken to social media reacting to his TV return.
