The Strictly semi-finals are this weekend but who has left the contest so far and who is still dancing?

The BBC's beloved dancing contest brought back a little glitz and glamour to our weekends when it returned for its 20th series.

As the competition heats up, we sadly have to say goodbye to some Strictly stars.

Find out who has left the ballroom so far and look back on some of their best bits.

Who has left Strictly 2022 so far?

Kaye Adams and Kai Widdrington

Loose Women star and journalist Kaye Adams and her partner Kai Widdrington were booted off the programme in week two.

No one left the contest after week one with the scores being carried over to the second week like normal.

The couple danced the Charleston to Music! Music! Music! By Dorothy Provine and scored a total of 43 points across the first two weeks.

Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice

Richie Anderson and Giovanni Pernice - the second all-male pairing in the show's history - were eliminated in week three.

The pair performed a samba to the beloved song Hakuna Matata from The Lion King as part of Movie Week.

Anderson and Pernice had dressed up as the meerkat Timon and warthog Pumbaa for the routine.

However, it did not impress the public earning them a score of 27/40 and a place in the dance-off against former X Factor contestant Fleur East.

Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova

BROS singer Matt Goss and his professional partner Nadiya Bychkova were eliminated in week four of the celebrity dancing contest.

The couple danced the jive to All Shook Up by Paul McCartney and received a total score of 20 but sadly found himself in the dance-off against Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima .

Speaking on social media following his exit from the show, Goss posted: "...@bbcstrictly was out of my comfort zone but I did gain so much from the experience.

"This moment alone… reading your comments has given me a sense of deep comfort. It was an incredibly big decision to come back to the UK. Thank you for making me feel like I’m home."

Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer

Comedian Jayde Adams was the fourth celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing for the 2022 season.

Adams danced the Charleston alongside her partner Karen Hauer to the iconic comic song The Ballad of Barry and Freda (Let's Do It) which was written and performed by fellow comedian Victoria Wood.

The routine secured them a good score of 28 with judge Motsi Mabuse telling Adams she was “one of the best” performers but felt her dance moves needed improving at this stage of the competition.

Adams was against singer and actress Molly Rainford in the dreaded dance-off.

James Bye and Amy Dowden

EastEnders actor James Bye became the fifth celebrity to be voted off Strictly Come Dancing alongside partner Amy Dowden.

The 38-year-old, who has played Martin Fowler in the BBC One soap since 2014, found himself in the dreaded dance-off against singer and broadcaster Fleur East following a Halloween-inspired live show.

Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin

Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin became the latest casualties of the ballroom leaving in week seven.

The Paralympic swimming champion and her partner Nikita Kuzmin became the sixth pairing to leave the ballroom on Sunday's results show.

The pair scored 33 points on Saturday’s show for their lively Charleston to Too Darn Hot from Kiss Me Kate but found themselves in the dance-off against Britain’s Got Talent finalist Molly Rainford and dancer Carlos Gu.

Tony Adams and Katya Jones

Former England footballer Tony Adams, 56, become the seventh celebrity to exit the show.

Adams revealed that he had been forced to withdraw due to injury.

The football star received a score of 24 in Saturday’s show after dancing the jive to Land Of 1,000 Dances by Wilson Pickett, leaving him at the bottom of the leaderboard.

He found himself in the dance-off alongside Tyler West and Dianne Buswell who will join the remaining couples in Blackpool this weekend.

Tyler West and Dianne Buswell

Tyler and Dianne left Strictly after their performance in the iconic Blackpool Tower ballroom.

The BBC dancing competition made a triumphant return to the seaside town’s prestigious Tower Ballroom for the first time since 2019 after a break due to the pandemic.

Following his salsa, the Kiss FM DJ found himself in the dance-off despite scoring an impressive 35 out of 40 for their original dance to Megamix by KC and The Sunshine Band.

The couple went head-to-head with Britain's Got Talent star Molly Rainford and her pro dancer Carlos Gu.

Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe

Comedian Ellie Taylor and her partner Johannes Radebe were the ninth couple to leave the Strictly ballroom.

The Ted Lasso actress found herself up against Fleur East in the dance-off.

Taylor took to the floor to perform the jive to Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison but failed to impress the judges and therefore missed out on musicals week and the Quarter final.

Kym Marsh and Graziano Di Prima

Kym and Graziano left the competition after a glittering Musicals week in the ballroom.

The former Hear'say singer performed a Cha Cha to Fame with her partner Graziano Di Prima after she missed the show the week before following a positive Covid test.

Her eighties-inspired routine landed her at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 34 out of 40.
