A new comedy series hosted by David Mitchell is set to begin airing tonight (Wednesday September 29).
Outsiders will see Mitchell test the skills of six comedians as they camp together in the woods for a week.
Those pairs taking part will be Jamali Maddix and Jessica Knappett, Kerry Godliman and Toussaint Douglass, plus Ed Gamble and Lou Sanders.
The premise of the programme is imagining situations in which a post-apocalyptic disaster has occurred, leaving humans to be forced to live in the woods.
Happy #Outsiders Day! Our latest show starts tonight at 10pm, with host @RealDMitchell putting contestants @LouSanders, @EdGambleComedy, @jessicaknappett, @jamalimaddix, @Toussaint_X and @KerryAGodliman through their outdoor paces! It's chaos, obviously. pic.twitter.com/FRutTSbt48

Challenges will involve chopping down a tree, milking goats, writing a rousing anthem and designing flags amongst other things.
Mitchell began developing the concept of the programme back in summer 2020 when the coronavirus pandemic was in full swing.
Back in May 2021, Mitchell said: “Civilisation is clearly crumbling so it’s high time we worked out whether we can cope without it.
“And if you can think of a better way of doing that than making six comedians learn survival skills, then you weren’t involved in the development process of this programme.”
Outsiders is filling in the slot on Dave for another celebrity comedy/challenge show Taskmaster, which made the move to Channel 4 last year.
Here’s how to watch the programme.
