OUR readers reacted to the news that a family in Carlisle has set up a new business to help people honour loved ones who have passed away. 

Alison Graham and her daughters Danielle Page and Jemma Graham had the idea of creating personalised and bespoke memorial plaques and grave markers.

The trio came up with the idea of 'Forever in our Hearts' after the bereavement of daughter and sister Darcie in 2022. 

Julie Glasson said: "Amazing best of luck with the new venture," and Debbie McHugh said: "Fabulous ladies Darcie will be smiling down on you all."

Shirley McManus said it was 'fantastic' and Helen Crawford Barbieri said it was a 'lovely idea'.

Joanne Maxwell commented: "The very best of wishes to you all. I'll be in touch."

Ally Marshall added: "Good luck Alison Graham you will smash it," and Hayley Garner said: "Brilliant good luck all."

Many other readers including Michelle Hope Nicholson, Judith Crawford, Brooke Dsouza and Julie Bennett also wished the trio good luck in their business venture.

The trio are currently working from home, and have launched the business on Instagram and Facebook, with the aim of being on Etsy and Shopify in the next few weeks, where they could reach customers outside Cumbria.
