Obstruction cleared to ease rush hour delays in Carlisle
An obstruction has now been removed from the road in north Carlisle, easing congestion.
Motorists in the city were warned to expect rush hour delays this morning.
Police were reporting heavy traffic due to an obstruction on the road.
The road affected was the A689 westbound, which leads from junction 44 of the M6 into Kingstown.
Police say the obstruction has now been cleared and traffic is returning to normal.
