A Carlisle man is due to appear in court today after being charged with a number of serious offences.
Alistair Pape, 34, of Ellesmere Way, has been charged with assault GBH, possession of Class A drugs (heroin), theft and burglary.
The burglary and drugs possession relates to the theft of a quad bike from the Rosgill area, near Penrith, on Sunday, November 5.
The alleged assault, on a 39-year-old man, occurred on October 11 at Highfield Avenue, Carlisle.
Pape will appear before North Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today.
