A police cordon has been put in place in an area of Carlisle as officers investigate an incident that happened in the early hours of the morning.
It happened in the area of St Ninian's Road, between 1am and 2am today.
For operational reasons, police declined to give details of the incident, but said enquiries were ongoing.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area of St Ninian's Road between these times to contact 101 and ask to speak to an officer from North Cumbria CID.
