Residents in Penrith can attend a free fraud awareness event at Penrith Library this week.
Cumbria Police’s economic crime team will be at Penrith Library, in St Andrew’s Churchyard, on October 22.
The session starts at 7pm and will explain tactics used by fraudsters.
It will also offer practical advice on protecting yourself, vulnerable friends or family members from becoming victims.
Residents will be able to speak to fraud prevention specialists about the latest threats and scams.
