A Cumbrian housebuilder has raised more than £12,500 to support life-saving air ambulance services across the North of England.

Carlisle-based Story Homes raised the funds through three regional charity golf days in Cumbria, the North East, and the North West, with proceeds benefiting the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) and North West Air Ambulance Charity (NWAA).

The events brought together colleagues, subcontractors, and business partners to raise money for the company’s 2026/27 charity partners.

Hayley Blair, Cumbria and Scotland operations director at Story Homes, said: "Our golf days bring colleagues, subcontractors, and business partners together around a shared purpose: raising funds for charities that make a real difference in our regions.

"Raising more than £12,500 is a fantastic result, made possible by the generosity of everyone who took part, sponsored a hole, or donated a prize."

GNAAS is reliant on charitable donations and needs to raise £10.7m a year to remain operational.

Natasha Banks, senior corporate relationship manager at GNAAS, said: "We’re grateful to have the continued support of Story Homes and receive another generous donation from their golf days."

Chris Andrews, philanthropy and partnerships officer at NWAA, also expressed his thanks.

He said: "Without the likes of Story Homes and those who took part in the golf days, we would not be able to continue providing lifesaving emergency medical intervention across the region."
