THE series when Celebrity Traitors star Hannah Fry visited a community-owned nature reserve just over the Cumbrian border is available to stream online.

Fry travelled to Tarras Valley Nature Reserve, near Langholm, for her BBC series The Future with Hannah Fry, first released in 2023 and now on BBC iPlayer.

Her visit featured in the sixth episode, Rewilding, which explored whether restoring natural landscapes could help tackle environmental damage.

The programme showed work to restore the landscape and develop nature-based opportunities.

The reserve was created after the Langholm community campaigned to buy 10,500 acres of Tarras Valley and Langholm Moor. Two community buyouts raised the £6million needed to secure the land.

The site includes moorland, ancient woodland, river meadows and peatlands. Restoration work includes protecting peatlands, expanding native woodland, restoring wetlands and providing habitat for wildlife including hen harriers and pine martens.

Tarras Valley highlighted Hannah Fry’s visit following her appearance in Celebrity Traitors, inviting viewers to spot a very different side of the television personality in her rewilding programme.
