CARLISLE'S fantasy-themed book and gift shop, Periodic Fables, is planning a grand event, and they're on the hunt for talented performers.
The shop, located in the Market Hall and run by Kira Van Helsing, is seeking live musicians, jesters, jugglers, and other entertainers with a medieval flair to participate in a special event in the city.
Writing on social media, Kira said: "You all wanted another event...right? Well, we're going BIG. That means a lot of mystery...intrigue....and casting calls (for now)!
"All the information (that I’m letting you see) is on the poster, please spread this far and wide to make the next event something to remember!
"Bards, troubadours, and performers! I'm looking for talent.
"Contact me if you know of anyone in the Cumbria area that could fill these roles for a special event being arranged in Carlisle in the next few months."
The theme for this event is "medieval/bardcore," and those interested in participating are encouraged to email periodicfablescarlisle@gmail.com.
This follows Carlisle's first romantasy-themed event in July, which was a collaboration between Kira and The Crown Lane Cellar.
Book lovers arrived in wings, corsets and tiaras, bringing the theme to life and, according to Kiki, exceeding expectations.
