Search for Ayrshire man who may have travelled to Cumbria

Robert Rae, known locally as Bert, was reported missing from Kirkoswald. He was last seen near Merkland Place at about 7.30am on August 27, 2026.

The 54-year-old is around 5ft 10in tall, slim-built, with a shaved head growing in grey. He is normally clean shaven and may be wearing black cargo-style trousers.

Robert has tattoos on his arms, a visible scar on his left arm and speaks with a local accent.

He is believed to be travelling in a blue 2019 Kia Sportage, registration RJ02 RAE.

Inspector Ashley Adamson, of Ayrshire Division, said: "We are growing concerned for Robert’s welfare and need to trace him to ensure he is safe and well."
