A country house near Penrith is the backdrop for a classic car show this weekend.

Dalemain Historic Mansion and Gardens will once again host the Cumbria Classic and Motorsport Show, taking place this Sunday, August 23.

The show is organised by Wigton Motor Club, and has been held at Dalemain since 1989.

Last year, it featured over 800 cars with 4,000 spectators visiting.

The show usually features around 20 classes, with this year's show also featuring Lotus and Bentley classes.

Autotests will take place throughout the day, and trade and craft stalls also present, as well as a "full range of food", according to organisers.

Admission is £10 per adult.

The show begins at 11am and lasts until 4pm.

Organisers advise visitors to get there early and to approach from the Ullswater side of the A592, rather than via the Rheged roundabout.
