FIREFIGHTERS remain at the scene of a fire in Armathwaite, which broke out last night.
Eight fire engines, plus specialist assets, were called-in to battle the fire south of Carlisle at 7.34pm last night and they remain on scene.
A spokesperson for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that firefighters are continuing to work to extinguish the fire at a building.
They advised residents nearby to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
