AN ARREST was made by Cumbria Police last week following reports that a teenager had shot a seagull with a catapult.
Police were called at 10:36pm on July 7 to reports of a teenage boy shooting a seagull with a catapult in Carlisle.
A spokesperson for Carlisle Neighbourhood Policing Team has said that the teenager has been released under investigation and "enquiries are currently ongoing."
The spokesperson said that Carlisle NPT "is aware of a video circulating online relating to this incident.
"We would strongly encourage everyone not to share or speculate on unverified information."
