A SEA Cadets unit has unveiled its upgraded facilities during a special open day.
The Whitehaven unit welcomed funders and supporters to the event on Saturday, May 30, marking the first time guests could visit the newly refurbished base.
Upgrades were completed with the help of donations, grants, and volunteer efforts.
A spokesman for Whitehaven Sea Cadets said: "On Saturday, we were delighted to welcome a number of our funders and supporters to our new unit for a special open day following the completion of our unit refurbishment.
"This was the first time we have been able to host guests in our newly improved facilities, and it was a wonderful opportunity to show the difference their support has made."
The spokesman also thanked everyone who contributed to the project.
He said their support has created "a facility that our cadets can be proud of."
