A DRIVER has been reported after being stopped in Whitehaven while driving on a provisional licence without supervision.
Officers from the Cumbria Constabulary Nuclear Estates Team pulled over the vehicle in the Mirehouse area earlier today (Tuesday, April 21).
The car was being driven by a 36-year-old woman who held only a provisional licence.
She was not accompanied by a qualified supervisor and was not displaying L plates.
A spokesperson for Copeland Police said: "She was reported for driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence, and no insurance.
"The vehicle was seized under section 165 RTA. Cumbria Police take driving offences seriously and will continue to target drivers who are breaking the law to keep Cumbria's roads safe.
"All week, we’re taking part in #OpDriveInsured26 to crack down on uninsured motorists and make our roads safer."
