THE date has been announced for Carlisle Unity Festival's tenth event.

The event will take place on Saturday, June 6, from 12 pm to 4 pm at Tullie Museum.

Now in its 10th year, the festival has been bringing together local community groups and organisations since 2016, creating a welcoming space that celebrates connection, creativity and shared experiences across the city.

The event will feature a range of hands-on, thought-provoking and engaging activities designed to bring people together and encourage reflection in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Organisers said: "The festival aims to unite people and communities through hands-on, thought-provoking and fun activities that gently encourage connection and reflection."

This year, organisers are also linking the festival with the UK-wide Great Big Green Week, which begins on the same day.

They added: "What’s good for nature is also good for people and communities, so we’ll be celebrating what helps keep Carlisle green, as well as the things that unites its people."
