A Carlisle-based 'construction reuse hub' recently hosted the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (CIHT) for a special event.
Rebuild, which collects and redistributes surplus building materials, hosted an event titled “Combining Circular Economy with Community and Social Impact – is it a myth?"
Dr Geoff Wallman, CEO of Intelligen, presented on off-grid transport hubs and solar-powered mobility.
Ms Porter spoke about the practical realities of circular systems in construction, covering materials, logistics, and community involvement.
The evening offered opportunities for networking and discussion among professionals in the sector.
A Rebuild spokesperson said: "The event created a valuable forum for industry professionals to move beyond theory and engage with the practical realities of implementing circular approaches.
