CARLISLE Trampoline Club has been named 'North of England Club of the Year' at the North of England Gymnastics Association Awards as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The club received the accolade at the awards night which was held on Friday, February 20.
In addition to this collective award, the club was also 'delighted' to receive four individual awards.
Dale Richardson and Vicky King won 'Service to Gymnastics' awards, whilst young athletes Bobby Dowell and Sophie Reed won 'Outstanding Achievement in Gymnastics' awards.
The award wins have been made extra special as Carlisle Trampoline Club marks its 50th anniversary this year, five decades after being founded by Jim Crowe.
For coach Kim Trotter, this anniversary coupled with the club's continued success is cause for celebration.
She said: "Over the last 50 years, the club has had many achievements, from gymnasts representing the club at county, regional, national, and international levels.

"The club has had many national champions and gymnasts on national squads, including gymnasts representing England and gymnasts representing Team GB at the World Age Group Championships and the Europeans Championships.
"The coaches are also active members of the North of England region, supporting gymnasts in our region at national and local competitions.
"What makes it all that little more special is it is done completely by volunteers.
"As a club we love and enjoy every minute of our amazing sport and seeing the sport of Trampoline grow and continue to grow within our beautiful county and across the nation is incredible."
