CRICKET teams from Cumbria are set to tour India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in a 'once-in-a-lifetime' opportunity for local players.
The Cumbria Cricket tour will take place between March 24 and April 6 2027 and will see three representative teams tour India and the UAE.
The touring party will consist of the Boys U18 team, Girls U18 team and Cumbria Cricket's Tier 3 Women’s Representative team.
Each squad will consist of 14 players, making a total of 42 tourists.
In addition to the cricket, the travelling Cumbrians will undertake excursions to some of the wonders of the world, including the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort.
The organisation of the 2027 tour follows the first Cumbria Cricket tour to Sri Lanka in 2024.
Cumbria Cricket' s head of performance pathway, David Fallows, said: "Sri Lanka was a fantastic opportunity for our talented pathway players to develop and test their skills on a bigger stage.
"It was a tour where all players created memories that will stay with them forever.
"We know this tour to India and UAE in 2027 will deliver a similarly amazing experience for everyone."
