A theatre school in Carlisle has been named 'most outstanding school 2025' at the Razzamataz Theatre Schools annual conference.
The annual conference took place in January and saw Razzamataz schools from across the country converge in Cumbria.
At the conference, a number of awards were handed out, with Razzamataz Theatre Schools Carlisle winning the prestigious 'Most Outstanding School' award.
Debbie Hyslop is the principal of Razzamataz Theatre Schools Carlisle and was on hand to express her delight after the school scooped the accolade.
She said: "We couldn’t be prouder to receive this award.
"It truly belongs to our incredible students, families, staff and supporters, everyone who makes Razzamataz Carlisle such a special place.
"To be recognised within such an inspiring network of schools is a huge honour."
According to Debbie, the 'Outstanding School Award' highlights schools that demonstrate 'exceptional leadership, consistently high standards and a genuine commitment to nurturing confident, creative young people'.
Razzamataz Theatre Schools Carlisle was recognised for it’s 'ambitious vision and commitment to excellence, consistently driving growth, fostering talent, and making a meaningful impact on its students and the wider local community'.
