PATIENTS are being warned of long delays in care during ongoing strike action.
North Cumbria Integrated Care (NCIC) says services are under more pressure than usual due to fewer medical staff on duty during the resident doctors' strike.
An NCIC spokesperson said: "The strike means our services are under more pressure than usual, and patients are likely to experience long waits due to fewer medical staff on duty.
"We are here for you if you need us, but please consider using a different service to A&E if your condition is not life-threatening; otherwise, you may have a long wait.
"For non-urgent needs, please use 111 online (includes mental health crisis support)."
