Carlisle Cathedral will host the Leeds Male Voice Choir on Friday, October 3, as the renowned ensemble launches its autumn tour of the Borders of Scotland and Cumbria.
The 70-strong choir, drawn from across Leeds, has built a reputation as one of Northern England’s most popular male voice choirs, with past performances ranging from Morecambe Winter Gardens to Bridlington Priory.
Last year, they also drew packed audiences during their tour of the Czech Republic.
In Carlisle, the programme will take audiences on a journey around the world, featuring Spanish favourite The Impossible Dream, American classic California Dreamin’, Scottish anthem Highland Cathedral, and the Irish ballad Carrickfergus.
Music from legends such as Louis Armstrong and Samuel Barber will also be celebrated.
The concert begins at 7.30pm in the cathedral, offering audiences a chance to enjoy international music in a historic local setting.
Tickets are available online at leedsmalevoicechoir.co.uk/tickets or in person from the Carlisle Cathedral gift shop.
