Eleven young firefighters from a Carlisle school celebrated their passing out parade at Carlisle East Fire Station earlier this week.
Students from William Howard School have been undergoing five weeks of training at the station and officially graduated from their course on Tuesday July 9.
In front of their families and local firefighters, the Year 8 pupils demonstrated some of the skills they have learned with the station on the five-week course, including hose work and a simulated rescue situation, before being presented with their certificates by area manager Lauren Woodward.
Carlisle East Fire Station said: "Further to the practical skills they have developed as Young Firefighters, the course has promoted teamwork, problem-solving and resilience - and we wish all 11 graduates all the very best in their futures."
