Police are investigating potential door-to-door fraud in which vulnerable people are targeted and overcharged for simple gardening work.
This occurred on the 16 and 17 of May in the Winscale Way area of Carlisle.
The investigation relates to four men using a black Transit-style van with a 'Class' decal. They are also using a white flatbed truck with 'Yewtree' or 'Maple' decals.
A man, aged in his 70s, was affected.
