A MAN will be sentenced at the crown court after he admitted attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child.
Jack Fleming, 20, of Meadow Road, Whitehaven, indicated a guilty plea when he appeared at Workington Magistrates’ Court last week.
Court records say that Fleming intentionally attempted to communicate with a person who he did not reasonably believe to be 16 or over, ‘for the purpose of obtaining sexual gratification’. The communication was sexual and Fleming sent and requested explicit images.
The case was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for sentence on June 18.
Fleming was granted bail on the condition that he does not have any unsupervised contact with any child under 18 except as is inadvertent in daily life.
