It happened on May 22, when a lorry driver in his 40s died after his vehicle left the road and collided with a building on the A7.

The A7 is partially blocked in both directions from the B6357 (the Canonbie turn-off, Canonbie) to the Corries Mill turn-off (Longtown).

At the border between Scotland and England, temporary lights are in place after the accident.

Cumbria Police are investigating the fatal collision, after which the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

It happened at around 4.10pm on the A7 at Scotsdyke, almost on the border with Scotland.

At this time, it is believed that no other vehicles were involved in the incident, police said.
