Carlisle United say their new East Stand executive boxes have sold out - months before the new season.

The Blues are carrying out major renovations to the stand at Brunton Park.

And they have announced that the seven new boxes made available for long-term deals have been snapped up.

A further box is to be made available on a game-by-game basis.

Work is ongoing at Brunton Park to equip the boxes for the 2024/25 campaign.

They are occupying space at the top of the stand which was always intended for such facilities when it was built in 1996 - but never completed.

United's owners, the Piataks, have said they are committing £4.5m to stadium developments this summer.

The Blues said in a statement: "These enhancements are designed to improve the experience for everyone.

"Our ambitions aim to elevate the potential of the Blues, ensuring our impact extends well beyond the pitch."

The club's commercial assistant Kerry Jardine said: "Selling out the new East Stand executive boxes so quickly is a testament to the unwavering support of loyal businesses and supporters, who have all been absolutely fantastic to deal with.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their support - details regarding the new box holders will be released in due course." An expected completion date for the boxes has not been announced.

Chief executive Nigel Clibbens said some of those taking long-term deals for the boxes are "long-term supporters" of the club, "who have moved from the west side boxes or increased their existing support as part of new deals, but also we have new box holders who have joined us at the start of our journey."

Clibbens also confirmed that United's new kit will be on sale in "late June".

He also said United are set to launch a new 'partnership programme' as well as a new business club and chairman's club.
