PENRITH will welcome a hole-in-one of fun this weekend as a new 18-hole-themed adventure golf course is set to open.

Foxy's Adventure Golf, at Redhills' Penrith Golf Hub, will be welcoming visitors to the new minigolf on Sunday, May 26.

From 10am, families and friends can putt through ramps over streams and loop-de-loop holes in the setting of Foxy and his woodland friends.

Foxy's Adventure Golf is a sister company to the Penrith Golf Hub that already offers a driving range, foot golf, and professional lessons, as well as a golf retailer.

"We've been working hard to get it completed by the end of May," said manager Emily Ingham.

“We’ve also built a picnic area with a decked viewing platform overlooking the adventure golf, perfect for grandparents looking to watch over their youngsters.

"There will also be a catering horse box to go out there as well which will provide snacks drinks ice creams etc," she said.

The facility offers family passes, private events, and group bookings as well as the option of just turning up on the day.

“The only other one locally is in Carlisle so this will be new to Penrith," Emily said.

"There are no bowling alleys or anything in Penrith, so this should be good with being the only thing you can do without investing in the actual activity, you can just turn up and play once," she said.

To celebrate the grand opening, Foxy's has organised a party on Sunday, featuring a free bouncy castle and pizza.

Staff will be available to answer any questions from attendees.

The adventure golf course will be open from 10am daily, closing at 8pm on weekdays, 6pm on Saturdays, and 5pm on Sundays.
