Showcase Cumbria's Mary Ballard nominated for five EVAs

Mary Ballard of Showcase Cumbria is nominated in the Best Business, Business Woman, Creative Industry, Inspirational Woman, and Professional Services categories.

A nod to her story states: “Mary is a truly inspirational woman, who always commits 100% to whatever she’s doing. 

"Over the past five years, through Showcase Cumbria, she has used her networking to bring many businesses together and has helped us secure our group of suppliers.

As well as heading Showcase Cumbria, Ms Ballard also owns Ballard PR Agency and is associated with Cbass Complete Business Advisory Solutions, which collaborates with local councils and CLEP.

Now in its 13th year, the Enterprise Vision Awards is the premier female business award in the UK, shining a spotlight on the achievements and innovations of women in business.

Showcase Cumbria is a platform that fosters collaboration within the business community and promotes growth in the county of Cumbria.

Ms Ballard said: "I wanted showcase all that is great about Cumbria; it is such a great place to live, work and visit. 

"I also wanted to provide a much opportunities of all sizes of businesses and charities, event organisers and residents to shout about what they are doing. 

"I also wanted people to know that Cumbria has so many parts to it from beaches to monuments to forests to a independent produce/products and shops. 

"I want to shine the light on all aspects of Cumbria."
