Live @ Union Lane’s jazz concert programme is continuing to 'thrive' since its launch at the Brampton Community Centre in May 2022 according to the organiser.

The collaboration between James Burke (Brampton and Beyond Community Trust), Steve Graham (Sound and Lighting Engineer), and David Gosling (Programme Curator) has seen remarkable growth, both in audience size and the calibre of artists attracted.

Since jazz singer Jo Harrop and her quintet inaugurated the venue’s first concert, the initiative has gone from ;strength to strength.'

The upcoming second anniversary concert on May 24 marks a significant milestone with the club hosting a sold-out performance by the renowned Norwegian Espen Eriksen Trio, featuring world-renowned saxophonist Andy Sheppard.

“Buoyed by the success of earlier performances, including the Zoe Rahman & Laura MacDonald duo, we realised our potential to attract big names," said organiser, James Burke.

"Our approach to Espen Eriksen was ambitious, and we're thrilled by the overwhelming support, with tickets selling out by the end of April.”
