Emergency services have been called out to a possible gas leak in Maryport.
The potential incident, on Ewanrigg Brow, was reported on social media on May 18.
A spokesperson from Cumbria Police said: "We want to reassure members of public and residents in the area that members of the fire service have the matter under control and there is no cause for concern."
