A new group is aiming to give the youth of Brampton a 'voice'.
The Brampton Youth Project was set up by Brampton and Beyond Community Trust and is run by James Burke and as well as youth workers Ben Yeates and Steph Bruce, and aims to provide a creative and safe space for local youths.
The group is currently undergoing a 12-week activity program at the market town's William Howard School on Thursdays however also holds another weekly session at the community centre that utilises Brampton's open spaces.
Speaking about the new group, Ben explained what the project is aiming to achieve.
He said: "I decided to pursue the Brampton Youth Project because I noticed there was a lack of provisions for young people in this area.
"The organisations that are currently providing services to the young people in Brampton are fantastic and doing a wonderful job, however, there still remained a gap that needed to be filled.
"We aim to bridge that gap and give the youth of Brampton a voice."
