AN 'explosion' at a brewery in Workington has led to a road closure and prompted a major emergency service response.
At 2.50pm, police were contacted by the ambulance service (NWAS) who had received a report of 'an explosion at a brewing facility' off Calva Brow.
Multiple residents in nearby Seaton reported hearing a loud bang.

Police said that at this time it is believed there is a single injured man who has suffered serious burns.
NWAS, police and fire services are all currently in attendance as of 3.50pm.

A road closure is currently in place at Calva Brow.
People are asked to avoid the area whilst emergency services continue with their work at the scene.
The business, named Tractor Shed, is a brewery that creates Cumbrian craft beer.
