A lucky mum living in Carlisle is set to fly with her family to Peter Andre's villa in Cyprus after winning a competition on Instagram.

Fiona Jackson discovered her unexpected triumph for five nights at his Villa Amelia when the pop star launched a hunt for her on social media.

Andre's original inquiry on Instagram read: "It's been over a week, can someone find Fiona, what if she doesn't respond?

"Fiona if you see this can you please reach out, thank you!"

After a week, Andre turned to his fans for help in finding the mysterious girl: "If Fiona Jackson is in your circle, send out the bat signal - we've got a dreamy villa in Cyprus waiting for her and her loved ones."

"My step-daughter texted me at work on Monday asking if it was me," Fiona said.

"I was just laughing about it but then I remember I shared it but I had a new phone and hadn't signed into Instagram yet.

"When I did my phone was just constantly dinging, I'm just reading my messages to Peter now saying 'I hope this isn't a scam'.

After leaving work, Fiona returned home to make dinner for her kids, teasing the announcement of the possibility of a luxury holiday.

During teatime however, Fiona was oblivious that Peter had been calling.

"We're sat eating dinner, and after I'm looking at about five missed calls.

"Fortunately, I caught him again and he was on for a good ten minutes chatting with the kids.

"He's so cute, he's such a nice guy.

"The kids said it's your fault we're not allowed phones at the dinner table.

"They are now using as an example to try and change the no phones at the dinner table rule," Fiona joked.

Fiona will be bringing seven of her family and friends along for the trip.

Andre concluded the competition by expressing his excitement over the outcome, saying: "Thank you for entering, I'm so glad it's someone I've never met before.

"We'll make it work for her, maybe this year maybe next, whenever works for Fiona!"
