CARLISLE'S beloved vinyl shop is gearing up for one of its busiest days of the year.
Record Store Day, the annual celebration of indie record store culture, will take place this Saturday (April 20).
Amongst over 265 independent record shops participating is the city's own Future is Vinyl, in Carlisle's Vinyl Cafe on Abbey Street.
In previous years, the store has had queues lining up around the corner.
The shop will be open tomorrow from 9am.
Across the UK, the celebration of indie record shops is expected to deliver a £9.7m boost.
This year’s Record Store Day UK ambassador, Kate Bush, said: “Each year Record Store Day gathers more attention, more momentum, and attracts more people who cram into indie record stores all over the world to see what’s up.
"What’s new? This year, I hope you have a fantastic time at this very important event, and that you get to celebrate music that’s been specially released for you”.
