There are reports of slow traffic on the M6 Northbound in Cumbria this morning after an accident caused one lane and the entry slip road to close.
On the M6 Northbound, the entry slip road is closed, one lane is closed, and there is currently slow traffic due to an accident at J39 B6261 (Shap).
The incident was reported around 6.41 this morning.
Lane three is closed in both directions on the M6 J39 (Shap), along with the northbound entry slip road at J39 due to a collision involving a HGV that has crossed over from the southbound carriageway to the northbound.
Police are on the scene. Recovery and barrier repairs are required.
An update from National Highways: North West at 8.12am this morning writes: "Lane 3 (of 3) remains closed in both directions on the #M6 at J39 (#Shap), along with the northbound entry slip road remaining closed at J39 as this is where the HGV came to rest. The closures are in place for clean up, recovery and barrier repairs."
