A MAN and a woman have appeared in court accused of robbing a £1,800 necklace.
Philip Storey, 40, and Samantha Edgar, 34, each faced a charge of robbery when they appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The defendants are alleged to have robbed the necklace from a man in Workington on June 2, 2023.
The case was not suitable to be heard in the magistrates’ court and was sent to Carlisle Crown Court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on May 6.
Storey, of Harrington Road, Workington, and Edgar, of Rowe Terrace, Workington, were granted bail with conditions not to contact the alleged victim in the case or to go to a named address in Workington.
