Police officers have seized a bike that was being ridden in an ‘anti-social manner’ in Carlisle.

The electric bike had been modified and was ‘extremely unsafe’ according to the police report.

PC 2467 managed to stop the rider of the bike before taking the bike.

A post from Carlisle Police on social media said: “Today officers from our Roads Policing Unit have seized an electric bike that was seen riding in an anti-social manner within the Carlisle area.

“PC 2467 managed to stop the rider as it slowed down to a halt.

“The bike was modified and was extremely unsafe to not only ride, but also to keep at home due to the fire risk. 

“Pro-active and joint work from our Policing units leading to positive outcomes.”
