A MAN will be taking on the London Marathon in aid of a charity close to his heart.

Cameron Foskett will be taking on the challenge in support of Hospice at Home West Cumbria.

He explained that he is a big supporter of the work that Hospice at Home does as the team helped his father when he was suffering from cancer.

Last year, Cameron completed The Big Half and raised £853 for the cause and is now setting himself a target of raising £500 in the London Marathon this April.

He said: "I'm proud to be fundraising for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, a charity that provided invaluable support to my family during one of our toughest times.

"When my dad battled cancer, their compassionate care and assistance made an immense difference, ensuring he could spend his final days in comfort and dignity, surrounded by loved ones.

"Now, as I take on this challenge, I aim to give back to the organisation that helped us through such a difficult journey.

"Every step I take and every pound I raise will go towards ensuring others receive the same level of care and support when they need it most."

He has so far raised £195 of his £500 target according to his fundraising page.

Mr Foskett continued: "As I lace up my running shoes and prepare to tackle the iconic London Marathon, I'm not just running for personal achievement, but for a cause close to my heart.

"Every step I take and every pound I raise will go towards ensuring others receive the same level of care and support when they need it most.

"Please join me in supporting West Cumbria Hospice at Home as I run for a cause that means everything to me."

A Hospice at Home West Cumbria spokesperson added: "Thank you Cameron for your continued support, we hope the rest of your training goes well."
