A COUPLE decided to jet off to Mauritius for a honeymoon after an 'incredible' wedding day with friends and family.
Olivia Day and Thomas Redding, both 31, met on a night out at Revs De Cuba in Milton Keynes in 2016.
Several years later, Thomas knew Olivia was the one and proposed at Orange Gardens at Aventine Hill on August 25 in 2022.
Olivia had her hen do in Albufeira, Portugal whereas Thomas stayed in the UK and had a long weekend in Manchester.
The pair tied the knot at the Hidden River Cabins in Carlisle on February 22, 2024 in front of family and friends.
Speaking about the day, Olivia said: "My favourite moment of the day was seeing Tom laughing during the vows but for Tom, he said his was dancing together.
"The whole day was perfect for our 'rustic' themed wedding.
"We had 50 day guests including Tom's brother Sam Redding as best man, friends Craig and Nuno from taekwondo and Lewis who worked at the same school."
Olivia's maid of honour was her childhood friend Emily, and her bridesmaids were Alexandra Bull, who she met at college, Megan Vaughan, who she met at university, and her sister-in-law and Thomas' brother's wife, Melody. She also had a pageboy - her godson Grayson.
"I also had a 'bridesman', Daniel Phillips, who was my senior when I worked in a care home," she added.
"We gave our guests mulled wine and smores as favours!
"Later on in the evening, we had our wedding fruit cake which was made by Tom's mum. It had Bailey's frosting and was decorated by Melody Redding."
After the cake, they danced to 'In Her Eyes' by the Jungle Giants, before their guests joined them on the dance floor.
"We would like to say a massive thank you to Ed, Ross, Olivia's hair stylist Zoe from Carlisle Wedding Hair, Holly from Holly Mae Makeup and everyone had the Hidden River Cabin," Olivia said.
"They all supported us to have the most incredible day and we can't thank them enough."
