A Carlisle theatre group will perform their junior musical of Matilda - and tickets are now on sale.
The Rocket Theatre Group, based at Carlisle Castle, has made the announcement to the delight of local fans of the Roald Dahl classic.
It will be performed by young theatre-lovers between the ages of seven and 11.
The group's founder, Wendy Dunn, said: "The children absolutely love the story and the songs and dances are brilliant!
"Featuring songs such as Naughty and Revolting Children, our students have relished every moment of these rehearsals!"
The performance will utilise two casts, consisting of Wednesday and Saturday classes, allowing for a greater number of roles for the children.
This adaptation of the award-winning musical premiered on the West End in 2011 and Broadway in 2013.
It was originally a novel by Roald Dahl featuring music and lyrics by Tim Minchin and a book by Dennis Kelly.
From earning seven Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, to five Tony awards, including Best Book of a Musical, Matilda has made a significant impact.
This two-day spectacle, taking place on May 11 and 12, will be showcased at Stanwix Arts Theatre.

Following the performance, Rocket Theatre Group will open spaces in its junior classes, with an existing waiting list of eager young performers.
