Carlisle Cathedral is set to host a performance by The King's Men, an acapella group comprising choral scholars from the Choir of King’s College, Cambridge.

Known for their close-harmony style, as choral scholars, they follow the daily routine of Chapel services throughout the term, as well as undertaking a busy concert and recording schedule during the holidays.

On Thursday, April 11 at 7 pm, seven members of the ensemble will deliver a range of songs.

The repertoire will include traditional numbers, sea shanties, choral classics, and contemporary pieces by The Beatles, The Beach Boys, and Elton John.

In addition to this eclectic programme, an organ music interlude will be provided by the King’s Men Musical Director, Paul Greally.

Tickets are on sale via the Carlisle Cathedral website and the Cathedral Gift Shop, starting from £5 for children and £10 for adults.

The Cathedral, which frequently hosts live music events, has announced upcoming performances by The La’al Big Band (May 18), The London Film Music Orchestra (June 12-14) and The Coulthard Trio (July 1).

More information about future concerts is available on the Cathedral's website and social media platforms.
