CUMBRIA Police are investigating an incident which 'left a man hospitalised with significant injuries'.

This occurred between 11.45pm on the March 28 and 2.30am on the March 29 in Silloth, in the areas of Skinburness Road and Criffel Street.

Three men, aged 28, 25 and 20, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary, criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon, police said.

The 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

All have been released on police bail.

The alleged victim in the case, a 32-year-old man, received 'significant injuries' during the incident and has been treated in hospital.

A number of vehicles were involved in the incident including a black VW Passat and a white Seat Ibiza, police said.

Police are asking anyone who lives in the areas of Skinburness Road, Criffel Street, and surrounding streets or the B5302 around Causewayhead to check any CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage, which may show these vehicles, in order to assist officers with their investigation.

Police are also asking that any members of the public who live or were in these areas listed above and have witnessed the incident or have any knowledge of it, to make contact.
