A Carlisle-based Italian restaurant has said that it is 'happy to report' that it has been awarded a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Michelangelo's Bar and Restaurant retained its 'very good' hygiene rating following an inspection by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) on Tuesday, February 20.
This inspection found that the restaurant that serves 'Italian cuisine in Carlisle' has 'very good' standards relating to the hygienic handling of food, including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling, and storage.
It also found that Michelangelo's standards of cleanliness and condition of facilities and buildings related to having an appropriate layout, ventilation, hand washing facilities, pest control, and management of food safety were 'very good'.
Taking to social media, Michelangelo's said that it was 'happy to report' the retention of its five-out-of-five rating.
