Officers from Carlisle Police patrolled the streets of the city at the weekend as part of an anti-spiking campaign.

Officers from Cumbria Police have purchased extra anti-spiking kits with Home Office funding, to be handed out to the public.

On Saturday March 23, officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, alongside Special Constables and Cumberland Council Safer Streets Officers were out and about patrolling the night time economy and looking to assist those who found themselves in a vulnerable situation.

They were also speaking to and engaging with revellers and giving out free anti-spiking kits in the latest move to keep nights out as safe as possible. No-one plans to be spiked but with some very easy measures you can take control of your night.
